RP SAMPLE HERE
Arms in the air in front of her, and eyes half-open in a perfect pose of relaxation, Carina Jubilee Carter was hiding out in the gymnasium. She was meant to be in class, but she wasn’t entirely sure which one it was and she couldn’t be bothered to check, it wasn’t like they bothered to teach anything interesting in the first week or two of being back from the holidays. Everyone was all have the exact same conversations, teachers included. “How was your summer” How insanely boring, she’s been back, what like day? And she’d already given the exact same answer to that exact same question countless times. It was boring and pointless and Carina hated to be bored.
Anyway she just didn’t feel like going to class, who did at this time in morning, in the summer she lazed in bed until the afternoon. She was an night person, mornings gave her headaches and everyone knows nothing good happens before 10am in the morning anyway. The gymnasium was a sanctuary of hers, classes weren’t held in here until the afternoon, so many mornings had been spent in idle bliss in this very position, stretched out on that beam bar thingy. The one they had in the Olympics, they pushed it against the wall when not in use allowing Carina to stretch long legs up the wall ankles crossed as she sighed.
Gazing up at her arms, she inspected her nails, chipping salon done lime green varnish in boredom, what the hell was wrong with everyone this term? No one seemed to be around when she was, it was ever so slightly alarming. Normally she would never be seen alone, generally she had someone around who she had been playing with, or even one of those rare close friends who stuck around through everything Carina put ‘em through she was generally a lot of shit.
Apparently though all her friends, groupie, fuck toys and followers had desperately needed to be in whatever class they had this morning. She has the vaguest idea it might have been maths or science or one of those ones with formulas and equations, not Carina’s type of thing. But that beside the point, the point was that worrying aloneness. Maybe she was losing her touch?
Frowning she jerked up in worry causing curvy brown hair to fall and obscure her pale skin, could she be losing it? That would be bad, very bad, especially considering that bet she has with Pandora, which she just had to win. Carina Jubilee Carter would be no one’s slave for the week, and she had already planned some delicious sadistic and amusing things to make Pandora do when she lost. No, she decided smirking slightly as she relaxed into her former position. She was not losing her touch, she was still the most amazing girl in this school, it was just that she needed to get some new friends is all, ones that aren’t so crappy and nerdish.
Scoffing at the idea of losing her touch, she shifted into a more comfortable position, shutting her eyes, mentally running through a list of all the freshman she knew has come to this school this year, it wasn’t a long list, but it was a start. After all for all she knew Pandora may already have started to train a freshman, she hadn’t spoken to her today. Damnit she hated it when things didn’t go her way, tilting her head back till it hung of the beam thingy she eyes to ceiling checking no smoke alarms had been placed while school was out. Satisfied that she was okay, she slipped a cigarette between her lips, breathing deeply.
There wasn’t a vice she didn’t enjoy she thought smiling to herself, which was how she had gotten into this unique situation, that bottle of cheap wine and internet access. The perfect ingredients in making a stupid bet with Pandora, which she had this sickening feeling she might lose, after all her reputation was her biggest hurdle here, and she had a big reputation in a very bad way if she wanted to keep a girlfriend.
Keeping a girlfriend, that wasn’t something she had done since she was freshman herself. “Fuck it” She muttered into the silence, she did love to get herself into challenging situations.

personality:
Carmen is one of those girls that if life was a movie would be the best friend. Quiet and unassuming, she isn’t the type to make big bold statement or decisions and is much happier cheering from the sidelines then being in the spotlight, in fact being in the stop light has this tendency to make her feel ill or turn her into a stuttering mess. Shy to the point of seeming snobbish or ignorant, Carmen hates large groups of unfamiliar people. They make her ill at ease and in her nervousness she tends to say things she would never normally say without thinking. It lead to some nasty situation with the more popular girls at school on a few occasion. However you’ll find she really is a warm and friendly person when you get to know her. And a singular strange person will had no trouble speaking it her, it’s only in the big groups she has trouble.
However don’t think because of her shy appearance she the type of girl to be taken advantage of, her natural intelligent and habit of thinking over everything extremely carefully means she’s a good judge of people and can work out the people that she doesn’t want in her life. And although she’s the type of girl who would do anything for the people she cares about. She is strong enough in herself to stop people walking all over her generous and loving nature. Though she is more likely to just distance herself or disappear from their lives then confront them. Carmen is the type of girl who hates confrontation, she doesn’t know what to say or do and if forced into that type of situation it tends to make her physically ill. The idea along is enough to start her shaking.
Naturally creative Carmen has found at outlet in cooking and clothing design for most of her emotions, she has been cooking since a young age and went she gets upset turns to cooking to clear her head. The last time she got upset she ended up making 16 batches of cupcakes, every family in La Push got some, not that they minded she is a very good cook and sweet things are her favourite thing to cook. Her clothing design came later, it started with customising, but the lack of clothing shops in La Push and Forks and her families limited funds soon lead to her creating her own.
These creative outlet are her two true passions and she takes criticism very badly, they either make her angry or miserable. Carmen is the type of who if upset will spend the next few days moping around until someone tells her to snap out of it. But she is normally a happy girl and other than criticism, very few things make her unhappy. Unlike a lot of the kids in La Push and Forks, Carmen actually likes living in the small town and has no plans to leave as she gets older. The family feel of the place makes her feel safe and comfortable which are things she need to able to settle. That doesn’t stop her from driving to the city whenever the mood strikes though.

(the history)
mother: Violet Ira Stevens
father: Oscar Liam Stevens
siblings: Eden Claudia Stevens
other family: Various cousins in the La Push area.
the history:
Born August 12th to Violet and Oscar Stevens, Carmen Rose Steven was the first child of their pair, who were both fairly young at the time and still in the honeymoon phase of their relationship. Violet had been born in La Push, as a Quileute tribe member, however Oscar was from Chicago and had been living in the Seattle for work. They had met after Violet got a job in Seattle at the same place. It had been love at first sight and the two quickly got married after just 6 months. Carmen arrived a year later, and her younger sister 2 years after her.
Carmen childhood was a happy one but not an entirely peaceful one, her parents quick marriage meant they were still getting to know each other as Carmen grew up and the vicious argument she witnessed as a young child, due to her parent’s dual quick tempers, caused a deep rooted hatred for confrontation that would follow her into adulthood. She wasn’t an unhappy child though, her parents adored her and her sister and her mother’s lack of job meant she spent a lot of time with her mother, a lot of which was spent learning useful traits her grandmother had taught to her mother, such as cooking and sewing. A skill Carmen put to use as she got older, to start designing her own clothes, something she one day hopes to turn into a career.
Her relationship with her dad, was more patchy, he worked a lot to keep the family afloat and even with that, they were never a very well off family. And with his job being in Seattle, Carmen doesn’t have very many memories of time spent with her father, until she is in her early teens. Between her 13 and 14 birthday, her father got a promotion which enabled him to spend much more time at home, and Carmen finally got to know her father. However their personality never fit that well, Oscar being very loud, quick tempered and no nonsense and Carmen quiet peaceful take on life kept them from create the same bond Carmen had with her mother and sister. A month after her 14th birthday, Oscar left the family home and her parent’s have since gotten a divorce.
Carmen attended the La Push high school, where she got average grades, with art and the sciences being her best classes and anything to do with public speaking failing miserably. She was part of the average student body, with a small group of close friends, her best friend being Kim Miles. She was never that active on the dating scene due to the fact if she had a crush on someone it tend to turn her into a quiet little mouse around them. That didn’t stop her crushing on people, one in particular standing out above the rest. But she’d never say anything to him about it.
Carmen left school with a good grade point average and an offer of a place at Seattle university, which in a moment of kindness or guilt her father offered to fund. She turned in down and instead took a local job and remained at the family home. She’s is still at that job now and still living with her family but she has been considering taking a chance and using her saved up money to buy a local shop and starting her own clothing store, if she can pluck on the courage.
