Rosalie had arrived in Forks on a Sunday and she was not looking forward to the day to follow. She hated school and more importantly she had never changed schools...ever so she hated the thought of a new school even more greater than she thought possible. a cab had picked her up from the airport and brought her to a small house located in the center of town, if you could call this place a town. Her aunt apparently had an antique business and was very busy and all she was welcomed to when she stepped out of the cab was a sticky note on the door in her in her aunt's scribbly handwriting.
" Festival in town, might not be home for supper, you should visit the beach, its lovely this time of year."
Rosalie didn't know what she wanted to do more break down crying or break something in anger. She made her way inside and found the room on which another sticky note was labeled that said " this one's yours"The place was horrible, it was a lot smaller than what she was use to and there was no t.v. The worst part was that she would be stuck here for atleast a year. True after graduation she could move away to a nice college somewhere warm and buzzing with excitement, but for now she was stuck.
She didn't bother putting her things up she just layed the suitcases on the bed and changed into her bikini. She took solace in the fact that this place had a beach. It wasn't the warmest weather but she didn't care anything would be better than stuck in the stuffy house. She put on jeans and a tank top over the bathing suite and started walking. She stopped at a conveniece store for a drink and once the guy at the chekout counter stopped drooling at her he told her directions to the beach which thankfully wasn't too far.
The " lovely beach " was anythinig but lovely. It was cold, dreary and boring. There wasn't a soul around for miles and it looked like it might rain. She wanted to scream out in frustration but instead she just sat down in the sand and took a deep breath silently wishing things were different. Wishing she didn't have a mother, wishing she could see her brother's faces again and more than anything wishing she had never met Royce King.

Leah had been sitting in her room, listening to some music. She had truned it loud to turn out all her thoughts. While listening to the musci she was drawing distracted on a piece of paper. But still over the loud music she could hear her mother talking to her brother. A normal human couldnt have heared it, but after all Leah wasn´t a normal human. She was a werewolf, so her senses worked much better then any humans did. She heared better, she had a better sence of smelling and everything physical was easier for her. So she heared it when Seth left the house. She surely had wondered where he was going, but she was not the kind of older sister that spied her younger brother. Maybe it was his turn in running patrols, she thought to herself. After all the wolves were running along the border between their territory and the leeches territory. An amused smile appeared on her face as she thought the word leeches, cause that was exactly was what this bloodsucking vampires were, leeches. Leah also blamed them for what had happened to her, if she and the others would have never become werewolves, there might have been a lot of pain she wouldn´t have had to went through. But now she was the broken hearted girl, that everyone in the Pack disliked.
If this leechs would have never come to Forks, she would still be human, they all would she thought. Then there would be a chance she could be still with Sam. He had broken her heart by leaving her for Emily. She couldn´t imagine to ever find someone that could make her love again. But then into her mind came Jacob, she wasn´t sure if she would say she loved him. But there was a part of her that liked him and that was something rare for her. But to her anger she noticed that Jake seemed interested in that Bella girl that had just moved to town. Sure she had seen the imprinting thing on Sam and Emily, but somehow she didn´t believed it would ever happen to her. But on the ozther hand she did knew what it felt like, so there were still possibilities for her. This thought was hard and good at the same time, but a part of her feared she would never be able to imprint. That meant she would never stop suffering and never stop loving Sam. The thought was so painfull that she tried to shake it off fastly, but like all bad things it simply didn´t wanted to dissapear. A sigh escaped her lips and she suddenly felt weak and sad. When the music in the background turned into a sad song, she got up and turned the radio off. Desperate she sighed and passed a hand through her dark curly hair. But then she got up and walked out of her room. She needed to get away from that house, that made her become so sad and desperated. All the pain seemed to have returned in just one second and it was more pain then Leah was willing to take right now.
When she stepped outside the front door, she took a deep claming breath and felt the fresh air blowing away her sadness. There was one place where Leah always went to when she needed to get away from everything, First Beach. So she made her way through town. Happily there were not many people out here, she thought to herself as she walked through the streets. She was used to beeing alone, cause most people left as soon as they saw her. After she had walked for a while she reached a few parking lots. There behind the parking lots, was a small stairway which leaded down to the Beach. Without thinking Leah went down those stairs. As soon as she felt the sand under her feet and heared the ocean she felt much better. This place had it´s own magic and that was to make people be happy if they wanted or not. As a child Leah had played a lot at the Beach, she remebered. The silences was quiet calming to her and that meant something if someone had such an explosive temper like her, she noticed amused about herself. She continued her way along the beach, when she suddenly heared a sound. When she looked up she saw a girl coming towards her direction. Leah had never seen her before, so she wondered if she was new to La Push. But then she told herself that it was none of her bussiness. Leah just kept walking until she was only a few steps away from the girl. Then she waited for the blond girls reaction.

Rosalie could not remember a time in her young life that she had ever felt this hopeless and angry. Things just didnt happen like this, they're weren't suppose to be this way atleast not for her. She thought back to her life before Royce, before her father had died it was barely six months ago but it seemed like a whole other lifetime. She had been so happy and so nieve, she didnt know what was worse being sheltered from the world's evils like an ignorant child, or having to face them head on. She took a sip of her drink and wiggled her toes in the sand, it was calming. She was staring out into the ocean when a girl walked by, and Rosalie couldnt help but notice her, not because of her dark hair or dark eyes but the way she looked. The girl looked like she wanted to watch the world burn which Rosalie clearly understood. She spoke, not really caring if the girl replied or even if she or the world heard her.
" This place sucks"
Rosalie had heard the saying that a picture is worth a thousand words but those three words summed up her feelings better than any painting could do. She hated this place and it did suck. There was nothing to do, nowhere to go and the population was pitiful. It was one of those places where everyone knew who everyone was and the gossip ran like wildfire she figured they already had gossip on her too. She could just imagine what they would say " did you hear about that blonde girl who just moved? She's here with her aunt because she got too wild at a party with a guy, " As if it was all her fault. She gripped the water bottle tighter at the thought that others would find out about what Royce did to her and think she let it happen or even worse that she wanted it to happen.

Leah couldn´t remeber when the last time she had felt like that. Right now she felt terrible, she was angry, sad and frustrated. All the things that had happened in her past, suddenly seemed to come up again. She had been hoping that she could forget it that she would get better, but it seemed like that wasn´t the case. If she thought now about the past time, she saw that in the last years her life had turned really bad. Back in time she had been a nice girl, popular with the perfect boyfriend. But what was she now, she asked herself. Now she was the girl that nearly everyone disliked, who was heart broken and cold. Not a really good change in her life. It had seemed when the first of them had changed into werewolves, her downfal had started. At first she had lost Sam, who she had loved more then anyone else and then next her father had died. That had been a great shock for her, but with some time she had started thinking about it and now she blamed herself for it. After all her father had died shortly after she had told him that she was a werewolf, so that was in her oppinion, proabably the event that caused him the heart attack. Her mother always told her it was no ones fault, but still Leah cloudn´t turn out the small voice that was balming herself for her fathers death. If that all hadn´t been enough her little brother had joined the Pack only days after her. A sigh escaped her lips as she thought about all that. It was just all making her feel even worse.
She watched the unknown girl sit down on the beach. She seemed not like one of the normal girls from La Push. This girl looked diffrent from most people around here, with her pale skin and her blond hair, it was clear to see she was not from here. Maybe she was from Forks, Leah thought. After all this would have made sense to her. In the last time it seemed like a lot of new people moved to the small town. Nearly it was like everyone else had enough of the sun and escaped to this small town, she thought amused. While everyone moved here, Leah would have loved to leave this place. She would have liked to move somewhere else where she could forget her pain. But now that she was a werewolf it wasn´t possible anymore, cause sadly she had to belong to a Pack. This whole having the others in her head thing, had just made everything worse for her. Hearing Sams thoughts and hearing how happy he was with Emily was just to much for her. Leah loved him enough to wish for him that he was happy, but she simply don´t wanted to be around watching. The only ones that seemed to understand her were her family. They cared for her, but she also noticed a few Pack members tried at least to be nice and that was at least something, she now told herself.
When she reached the girl and was about to cross her path, she heared the girl say " This place sucks" It was like someone was exactly in the same mood as she was. Finally someone seemed to have the same mood as her, that was a real pleasant surprise to her. So as Leah walked now over to the girl she gave her a compassionate smile. Then she said with the small rare smile staying on her face "Wow thought I had a bad day, but seemes like yours is as bad as mine." Now that she had seen that girl and had heared her talk, Leah had decided it was time to get to know her. This girl after all seemed like a really interesting person to her. So a moment later she asked "Mind if I sit down?"and then pointed at the place next to the girl. She waited for the girls answer, cause she don´t wanted to be rude or anything. Leah could understand if the girl wanted to be alone, but maybe she needed someone to talk to. At least Leah it helped normally to talk to someone. A moment later something else came to her mind and she said fastly "Oh how rude I totaly forgot to introduce myself." then she added "I am Leah, Leah Clearwater." she smiled and stretched out a hand as a welcoming gesture.

Rosalie had noticed the girl pause and then turn. She watched silently as the dark headed girl broke out into a smile. She was not expecting that in the least, she had assumed the girl would scowl and continue walking or perhaps at worst be offended by her comment and confront her, but the girl had smiled. Rosalie watched curiously as the girl then made her way over to where Rosalie was sitting Wow thought I had a bad day, but seemes like yours is as bad as mine.. With that comment Rosalie laughed, a sound that had become unfamiliar to herself. She could not even remember the last time she had laughed, perhaps it was a dinner? No, she suddenly recalled it...the day she had spent with Vera, before the incident. Vera, being two years older than her was already married and both girls had laughed histerically watching Vera's little Henry try to walk. That seemed like another life, but it was only a few months ago.
" I think mine is more of a bad year, how about you?"
The girl had asked to sit down and despite the fact that she had came out here to be alone she nodded and smiled
" Sure, have a seat"
She didn't want company, but it was a certain type of company. She didnt want the smiling, peppy, always cheerful company..atleast not right now. This girl didn't seem to be the sort and on top of that she seemed to have the same views as Rosalie. She glanced at the girl and wondered where she was from..Rosalie guessed local, he girl had dark hair and a tan. When the girl Introduced herself Rosalie smiled again and shook her hand.
" Nice to meet you Leah, I'm Rosalie Hale."
She stretched back in the sand and put her toes into it. The beach was pretty but nothing to what she had hoped. The only beach she had seen was on television, and these murky waters were a pale comparison to what she imagined Hawaii and the Carribean was like.
" So...Are you from around here?"

Leah hated what Sam had done to her and she even hated Emily for doing this to her. Back in time Sam had meant everything to her and she had thought that they would stay together for the rest of their lives. Now everything was different. After Emily had come to visit her and had met Sam, he had imprinted on Emily and suddenly Leah had become unimportant. That had broke her heart. She hadn´t understood how he could do this to her. Now that she was a part of the secret as well, she knew that he had no choice. After all imprinting wasn´t something that a werewolf was able to control. But all that did not make Leah like this all more. She still hated what they had done to her, but still the situation has changed. Still she had hope that one day she would find her imprint as well. On the other hand there was still fear in her, that she might be a genetic death end. She feared that she would maybe never find the person who belonged to her and that she would never have children. But now she fastly tried to shake that thoughts off. It hurted her to think about it. Sure some time had passed since that events, but still in Leahs mind they were there. Now she tried even more to shake it off and turned her attention back to the girl, who was sitting on the beach in front of her.
"I think mine is more of a bad year, how about you?" the girl asked her a moment later. Then she added "Sure, have a seat". So Leah sat down on the sandy ground next to the girl. She looked out at the ocean for a moment, but then asnwered the girls question from a moment ago. "For me it was more or less a bad year as well." she explaint. In the next moment she explaint then what she meant "You have to see that it all started with my boyfriend falling in love with my cousin, who used to be my best friend back in time, so he left me for her and they are together and happy now. Then I had a really hard time with myself and if that all wouldn´t have been enough my father died a months ago." she sighed sadly. She was kind of surprised that she told her story to that unknown girl. Atfer a moment the girl said to Leah " Nice to meet you Leah, I'm Rosalie Hale." she smiled and said then "Nice to meet you to Rosalie." When Rose asked her "So...Are you from around here?" she nodded and answered "Yeah I lived here in La Push for my whole life, seems pretty boring to most people, but I guess it was alright." Then she said herself "I never seen you here before" she added after a moment "Are you new to town?" Leah suddenly remebered what the girl had said in the beginning and asked "You said you had a bad year, what happened?"
