Every beating heart, every person with warrn blood running through their veins... Lunchtime. The time he hated the most. All the humans in the school, even if it was rather small, were packed together, making it much harder to bear his raging thirst. The thought of the small girl named Alice kept him from leaving. Jazz had honestly looked forward to talking to her again. It was a feeling he had never had before. Strange. But that was what an immortal's life was supposed to consist of, right?
Holding his breath, Jasper made his way across the hall and into the crowded lunch room. Grabbing a waterbottle, he swiftly walked ove to a table. Some kids referred to it as he 'Cullen Table'. No one else ever sat there except for Jasper and his adoptive brothers. It was way off next to a window, far away from the other crowds, so no one could see that they weren't bringing this 'food' anywhere close to their shut mouths. They hadn't planned it that way, he wondered why they were avoiding him. Or seemed to be at least.
Jasper found himself looking for Alice, eager to talk to her. He was even monitoring the air for her sweet, tempting, floral scent. She didn't seem to be there yet. He waited hopefully. Notes: Thought the other thread was pretty well done

During class, Alice had realized how silly she was being. It must have been the effects of the new school, her eyes adjusting to the unfamiliar surroundings. No one could be that good looking, it had to of been all of that making her heart beat so erratic. Plus, she doubted he really meant it when he said he wanted to continue their conversation, she wasn’t that interesting. Normal, aside from those rare dreams that seemed to tell her what may or may not happen. Completely, and utterly ordinary, just like most of the girls in the school, she was sure. Shopping, clothes, boys, music… what was special about that? Absolutely nothing.
Chattering with one of the girls she’d met in her class as she entered the cafeteria, she found herself automatically searching out Jasper. She had to stop this, it was obsessive, abnormal, and just plain weird. Gripping her bag of lunch a bit tighter as she spotted him, her irregular heart beat returned, butterflies forming in her stomach as she moved towards the table he was sitting at. It looked like he was looking for someone… was it her? Couldn’t be. It felt like all the eyes on the cafeteria were on her as she moved over to the table, glancing around to find that she was almost right, plenty of people were looking at her. Trying to ignore the stunned faces, she bit her lip as she turned to face him.
“Um…” Normally she was such a chatter box, she could ramble on and on for hours on end, why was it that her mind went blank the moment she laid eyes on him. “Mind if I sit?” If he even remembered her, doubtful, why would he?

Jasper heard Alice's insanely fast heart beating before he turned to see her. "Be my guest" He skillfully ignore the other stunned expressions of students when he faced Alice. Waves of anxiety flowed off of her. He almost said sorry. Was he making this girl feel so uncomfortable? Without thinking, he sent a wave of calm emotions towards Alice. Hopefully that would prevent her from getting a heart attack. He grimaced mentally at the thought, keeping his face well composed.
Jasper played with the waterbottle in his hands as he talked, spinning it around in his pale hands, trying not to make it seem to fast or too abnormal. "How do you like Forks?" he asked curiously. Right then, the rain pounded on the windows, the sun hidden completely behind grey clouds. To Jasper, anyone who was not familiar with this much rain would have hated it. He wondered what she would think. Of course, this was the perfect place for his family to 'live'.
Surprise mixed in with the air around them, and he could hear the gossping already. "Oh my God, the new girl's sitting with Jasper Hale" A girl whispered to her friend on a nearby lunch table. The only thing he hated about this small school was that rumours spread much more quickly.

Alice sat the moment Jasper said it was okay. There wasn’t even a thought about it, some reason she just listened. Slowly, Alice placed her lunch on the table, suddenly not feeling very hungry at all. Weird, her stomach had been growling just before lunch, but now it seemed to be so full of butterflies, there just wasn’t room for food. Or, she had felt a lot of butterflies. Suddenly relaxing, although she was sure why she was so calm out of nowhere. It wasn’t that she’d been uncomfortable, just anxious; he had that sort of effect on her.
Looking out the window as he questioned her, she smiled slightly. “I love it, not a lot of shopping, but it is beautiful,” she nodded slightly. Something about Forks just drew her in, kept her wanting to see more. “It’s so green, so different from Arizona, more comfortable, I think.” Alice was sure this sounded insane, most people loved the sun, loved hot weather… Bella being a prime example. This was so much more… natural.
Looking over her shoulder as she heard someone say her name, she frowned as she realized they weren’t talking to her… they were talking about her. Something she was used to, but this was different, they were talking about her because she was sitting with Jasper, and that she didn’t understand. Was this the biggest news they had? Honestly, she was sure he had loads of people sit with him normally. Deciding it best to ignore this, she turned away from them, eyes back on the boy sitting with her. “I’m not keeping you from anyone, am I?” She just realized she had no clue if he had family, friends or even a girlfriend he was normally sitting with.

Jasper listened intently, and he had to admit, he was surprised at how much she didn't hate Forks. In fact, it sounded like she quite liked it. After all, that was what she had said in the first place. The rain drops outside continued to pound mercilessly on the windows, and each drop sounded like a gun shot in his ears. Sometimes hearing everything was so annoying. He threw his water bottle from one hand to the other, trying to keep himself from being too still. The water inside hardly moved in his steady hands. Did that look normal?
Alice's question threw Jasper off completely. He kept his face composed and shook his head. "I have brothers that usually sit here, but I don't think they're here today" Most likely hunting. His eyes were still a nice ocher, no sign of thirst. If he was thirsty, this girl would probably be dead by then... He shoved the idea out of his mind. A voice mentioned him, the conversation was going on all the way across the lunchroom. What was the big deal? Was it because Alice was sitting beside him? He glanced to his right to see a brunette rolling her eyes and whispering in her friend's ear. Jasper recognized that girl. The one that had asked him out once a couple of months ago, and he had politely declined. He didn't think she had forgiven him for that.
"I'm not keeping you from anyone, am I?" Jasper asked only half jokingly, even then, a small smile etched its way onto his face. He liked her, not only because of her deliciously floral scent, but her personality as well. Something about her made him want to be close. All the time. Of course, once again, the possibility that it was only because her scent was so different from anyone else's flashed across his mind. In the past five minutes, he had tried to throroughly convince himself this was no big deal, just a normal conversation. But then why was everyone talking about it?
