Leah was sitting in her room, looking outside the window. As normal the sky was covered with thick grey coulds, which promissed rain. Her music had turned a humming in the background. She had not payed attention to it for a while. She had just turned it on, to make the noises in the house become lower. Downstairs her mother was cleaning up and her brother was watching Tv, Leah hadn´t want to sit down there and so she had went up in her room. She didn´t knew why but today Leah simply wasn´t in the mood to hang around with them. Escaping to her room had seemed like a good idea to her an hour before, but now she noticed that it had not helped much. She was simply not getting her peace in this house. What she needed was some time on her own. Time when she could do whatever she wanted. Suddenly the music in the background turned loud and noise. Fastly she got up and turned off the radio, so much to her idea of distracting herself, she thought to herself. Suddenly she had an idea, Leah got up and walked through the room, she got her jackett and then lefter her room. As silently as she could she went downstairs, there she grabbed her house keys and left silnetly the house.
Then she threw a last look back at the house. She was hapyp to see her mother hadn´t noticed she had left. Her mother always worried a lot about her. She thought that it wasn´t good that Leah did so many things of her own. But Leah didn´t minded beeing alone for some time. After all in the time after Sam had left her, she had lost most of her friends, only a few were still her friends. That were mainly the other Pack members and a few people she knew for some time. Suddenly she got the idea of calling on of her friends. So she pulled out her cell phone and dailed the number of Kim. She had known Kim for a while and even after Leah had went crazy about Sam, Kim had stayed a true friend. Leah was thankfull for that. As the mailbox turned on she left a message for her friend where she could find her. Then she put her cell phone away and kept walking. The streets today seemed pretty crowded, Leah didn´t knew why. After all this day was not any different from other days down here. It was rainy and cloudy like always, so maybe it was just a kind of strange mood the people were in today.
After she walked for a while she reached the main street, here were the only shops of La Push. This was still only a small reservation next to Forks, so most people went for shopping to Forks. But the most important things could be gotten in this small shops, Leah knew. But fastly she left the main street behind her and soon she reached a street which leaded outside of the town. Soon a few parking lots appeared in front of her, fastly she walked over to a small stairway, which leaded down to the First Beach. This beach was her favourite place, so she had told Kim in her message to come here and see her. Leah hadn´t seen her friend for a while, but she thought it would be nice to have a talk with her or just hang around. Leah walked over the beach until she reached her favourite place on the Beach. It was far away from the place where all the tourists normally were. It was a small bay which was hidden behind a few huge rocks. There she sat down to the sandy ground and tucked up her legs. Watching the waves, which were glittering in the pale light, rolling to the beach. Waiting if her friend would come.

Kim stuffed her jacket into her bag and shut her locker door. Finally, her shift was over. The day had been unbelievably dull, with only a few people coming into the store. She walked out of the back room into the main room. She smiled and said “See ya later, Kate,” to the girl who’s shift was just starting. She pushed the front door open and went to her car.
In her car, Kim pulled out her phone. On it was a voicemail from one of her only friends, Leah. Kim hadn’t talked to Leah for quite some time now. She tried to think of the last time she had seen Leah. Was it really that long ago? She thought when all she could come up with was at Harry’s funeral. That had been over six months ago.
She listened to the message and checked the time. Leah called her only 15 minutes ago. If she was just leaving her house, she would be getting there now. It was a 5 minute drive to First Beach, where Leah told her she was going. Leah wasn’t going to have to wait very long. She put the key into the ignition and turned. The engine came alive and Kim put the car into gear. She pulled out into the street and sped toward First Beach.
When she got there, she swung into a spot and got out of the car. She put her keys in her pocket and threw her bag on her shoulder. No doubt Leah would be in their favorite place. They found it together when they were 8. It was the place they always found themselves going to get away from the world. She walked the familiar path down to the little cove.
She soon saw Leah sitting on the sand and frowned. By her body language Kim could tell that Leah was frustrated. She walked over to where Leah was sitting and stopped in front of her. She looked at her and smiled. “Hey Wolfy,” She said. When Leah was little, she loved wolves. Eventually the nickname Wolfy emerged from it. She sat down next to her friend and looked out at the ocean. “It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” Kim knew that Leah needed a distraction from something, and she was going to distract her as well as she could.

Leah sat at the beach and watched the waves rolling towards her. Right now she was pretty sure that the beach was the most beautifull place on the world. At least for her it was. When she had been a child she had come here to play every day. But when she had gotten older and had went to High School it hadn´t been so often anymore. She just had come back when she had started dating Sam, the two of them had taken long walks here. But as soon as Sam had imprinted and she had started thinking things through so much, she had again spent much time here, because this place helped her to calm down. It was just like the beach had it´s own magic. A small smile appeared on her face at her last thought. Leah remebered how she had listened to all the legends just like everyone else back in time and had thought of it just as funny. Now this was different when she now heared a legend, she knew it was true. As unbelieveable as it sounded. But Leah had learned that lesson. When she had become a werewolf, everything had changed. Her whole world had turned upside down. A sigh escaped her lips when she thought about it. Normally Leah was trying to not think about all this stuff, cause it made her sad. But right now when she was sitting on this place she couldn´t help it.
She hoped still that Kim would come to meet her. The two of them had been friends for a long time. They both had lived their whole lives down here in La Push. So they had went together to elementary school already and then later to High School. Sadly Kim had to see how Leah had went through all that pain. Also she was pretty sure that it had been for all her friends a hard time. Most of her friends had turned away from her after she had went crazy. Only a few had stayed loyal, Kim was one of them. For that she was really thankfull. The two of them hadn´t spoken in a while, but Leah hoped she could now do it. She remebered that the two of them had spoken the last time on the funeral. Not a good memory as well, she thought to herself. Leah missed her father and still she blamed herself for his death. After all he had died shortly after Leah had told him, she had become a werewolf. That was in her oppinion what had caused him the heart attack. Sure her mother told her that it was no ones fault, but Leah couldn´t turn off the small voice deep inside her that told her it was her fault. So after her fathers death, Leah had let herself become even more lonely.
A moment later she heared steps coming towards her. As she looked up she saw Kim coming towards her. A small smile appeared on her face, as she saw the friend. “Hey Wolfy,” the friend called her. She couldn´t help but laugh lightly about the comment. It was an old nickname which Kim had given her. It came back from the time when the two had been children. Friendly she said to her „Hey Kim!“ she added „I was hoping you would come!“ Her friend walked over to her and sat down beside her. Then she said . “It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” Leah nodded and said „Yeah it truly is!“ The two of them sat there watching the ocean for some time. After a moment of silence Leah finally said „I missed that, I mean we haven´t talked for a while.“ and looked at her friend. She added again a moment later „I am sorry fort hat!“ „I guess I have locked myself inside our house for to long.“ she laughed again. Then she waited patiently for Kims answers and turned her attention back to the ocean for a moment.
[[Sorry this isn´t such a good post, but my muse is really low today, cause I had a lot of learning for school to do...]]

Hearing Leah laugh lightened Kim’s heart. She knew Leah had been hurting for quite awhile and she was glad to have brightened her life if only for a moment. She smiled and said “You can always count on me to be there when you need me.” She really did mean it too. Anytime any of her friends needed her, she would be there for them.
She sat with Leah in silence for awhile. When Leah broke the quiet, she looked at her. Kim listened intently as she talked. She smiled and said “I miss it, too. We need to start hanging out more often.” She shook her head and frowned. “There’s nothing to be sorry about. It’s not your fault. You were grieving,” She smiled at Leah. “I understand.” She looked down at the sand by their feet. She grabbed a stick and started doodling in the sand. Before she even realized what she was drawing, she had started to draw a body of a large wolf. She looked at Leah then she looked back down at her wolf. She had done this many times before. It when along with her nickname. Kim would draw what she thought Leah would look like as a wolf. She set about finishing her little picture. She glanced up at Leah several times, trying to capture her spirit, or as other would like to call it, her essence. It was what made Leah, Leah. The thing that was impossible to change about her. Finally she finished. She looked at it, then back at Leah. Kim nodded, satisfied. She wrote Leah’s name under it before putting the stick down. It was Kim’s way of letting her know that things would never change, and they would always be friends, at least in Kim’s mind they would. She looked at Leah and watched for some sort of reaction.
[Sorry it sort of sucks]

When Kim said to her “You can always count on me to be there when you need me.” she had to smile and said truthfully "Thank you!" True friends were something that were really rare, Leah knew now. In her past she had been used to have a lot of friends, but after all this bad events it had changed. Suddenly nearly everyone who had pretended to be her friend had turned against her. Only a few had stayed true, Kim was one of them and again Leah felt thankfull towards her. Deep inside Leah told herself that from now on she would try to look for her friend more often. She hadn´t really acted like a friend and so she needed to start beeing one again, she told herself. “I miss it, too. We need to start hanging out more often.” Kim told her smiling. Leah returned the smile and answered "Yeah we will I promise!" she added a moment later to her words "I have locked myself for to long in my room, I really need to get back to real life." and laughed amused about her own statement and winked at her friend. Sad she noticed that she just had told her friend a lie. Normally it was not like Leah to tell lies, but this situation was after all anything but normal, she thought to herself. Turning into a giant monster wolf and all the other mythical things were simply topics which she wasn´t allowed to talk about in front of normal humans.
Only a moment later KIm said “There’s nothing to be sorry about. It’s not your fault. You were grieving,” and “I understand.” She nodded silently, sure Kim thought she understood it. But there was so much more to it then her friend could probably ever imagine. If it would be about Leah, she would have told her friend right now what was really going on. But it was an alpha order to keep the secret, so there was no way she could have told it. When her look went back to the ocean she said still thoughtfull "I am happy to see that things between us didn´t changed." "I mean I was really afraid they would, because I acted like that." Leah explaint a moment later "I mean I really went crazy about the Sam thing and I guess I am still not over it and then the whole thing with my dad, it was just so much for me to take." and sighed silently. As a soft breeze came from the ocean, she closed her eyes for a moment and enjoyed it. But then she watched her friend drawing on the sand. After a moment her friend was finished. Surprised Leah looked at the pretty good picture of a small wolf with her name under it. A small smile appeared on her face and she said laughing lightly "Oh wow that has been a long time ago." "I mean we were pretty young, but I remeber it." Leah wondered if Kim had any idea how close her picture was to the truth, but she tried to not show a sign.
"The good old child hood times, that were really happy times!" she laughed and added "Do you remeber?" "We spent a lot of time down here at the beach" Her glance was still caught by the picture and so she said a moment later "That picture is really good!" "Did you ever think about doing creative work later?" she asked her friend interested. A lot of things had probably changed, but Kim had always been good at drawing, Leah remebered. She wondered how her life would continue one day. After all she couldn´t just live the rest of her life at home. This whole wolf thing that was going on right now, couldn´t after all take away all her freedome and her life from her, Leah thought to herself in that moment. But fastly she shook all this thoughts off. "So anything interesting happened to you in the last time?" she asked her friend now interested. After all she don´t wanted this whole conversation to be all about her, she wanted that her friend told her news as well. They hadn´t seen for a long time, so there would be for sure something her friend could tell her. So Leah waited patiently looking at her friend for a moment longer. Then she turned her attention back to the ocean while she waited for her friends answers.

Kim smiled. She would do anything for her friends, anytime they needed her. If they were in trouble or hurt, she would be there for them. “No problem,” she told Leah. And she meant it. It wasn’t like she actually did anything besides work. Kim frowned. “It’s always good to put real life on hold for awhile. Everyone needs some me time,” she told Leah. Leah shouldn’t feel bad. Kim understood. Losing her dad had really upset Leah. If staying in her room and not going out much was her way of coping with it, then she should be able to.
Kim smiled again. “Things between us could never change. I hope you know that.” Kim laughed lightly. “Even if you did go insane,” she said. A breeze came in off the ocean and Kim inhaled deeply. This was one of the reasons why she loved the beach so much. If was peaceful and calming. If Kim ever had a problem she went to the beach and just sat. By the time she went home, she felt better. Being there just helped her think.
She smiled. “I’m glad you remember,” she told her. “They were happy times. I wish they could have lasted forever.” Kim laughed. “Yeah, I remember. I remember finding this cove, too.” Kim looked around them. “It became our place.” She smiled again. “Thanks. I might, but I haven’t put much thought into it,” she answered truthfully. She looked out over the ocean for a second. “Umm…” she thought for a moment. “Well, I started working at the store. That’s about it,” she answered honestly. Kim’s life had not changed much in the last six months. “What about you?”

“No problem,” “It’s always good to put real life on hold for awhile. Everyone needs some me time,” Kim told Leah. She nodded and answered "Very True!" she added a moment later "I mean I was just so shocked about everything, it was just to much." It was true at least part of it. Leah blamed herself for her fathers death. He had died shortly after she had told him she had become a werewolf. So how could it not have been her fault, she asked herself. It must have been the event that later caused him the heart attack, she thought. Sure her mother always said it wasn´t her fault, but Leah couldn´t turn out that little voice in the back of her head that blamed herself. But the other reason why she hadn´t seen her friend for such a long time was another. That was because she had been really dangerous to everyone around her. In the beginning Leah had exploded so easily. Whenever she had gotten angry, she had phased in the next moment. She knew her bad temper was not one of her strengths, but she simply couldn´t do anything agains it. Now Leah was doing better with the whole werewolf thing or at least good enough so that people around her weren´t in danger. Still it bothered Leah a lot that she wasn´t allowed to tell Kim what was going on.
A moment later Kim said to her “Things between us could never change. I hope you know that.” Leah nodded and said thankfull "I am glad to hear that, thanks Kim!" Then she gave her friend one of her rare smiles. In the past months she had not felt like smiling, but now she felt like she was able to do it again. At least a bit of it. Kim added to her words “Even if you did go insane,” About that Leah even had to laugh lightly. Still laughing lightly she said "Well just let us hope that will not happen." she added "Besides if I go insane,I am going to take you with me." and had to laugh about her joke again. “I’m glad you remember,” “They were happy times. I wish they could have lasted forever.” Kim said when Leah made a comment on the drawing. "Of course I remeber" she told her friend. Then she sighed and continued "Yeah I would have wished so too, but seems like live had another oppinion on that." Leah looked at the ocean again. Again she was sure that this place had it´s own magic. It seemed to always make her calm and make her realize things like never before. Coming here today to talk to Kim had really been a good idea, she thought to herself.
“Yeah, I remember. I remember finding this cove, too.” “It became our place.” Kim said a moment later. Leah nodded "Me too, since we found it, it has become our place, I think." she added "It´s also really beautifull here and nearly no one beside us knows of it, I think." With the smile staying on her face she said "That makes this place even more special." Only a moment later Kim said to her “Thanks. I might, but I haven’t put much thought into it,” Leah laughed lightly and said "Yeah we often miss the things that should have been obvious." Suddenly she noticed that also was true to her. Leah noticed that even more when she looked at the drawing. When she had been a child she had loved wolves and what had she become now, she asked herself with sudden amusement. Kim answered to Leahs question about the news “Well, I started working at the store. That’s about it,” She nodded and asked "Do you like it?" Then Kim asked her already “What about you?” Leah sighed and answered "Not much either." she stopped for a moment and then added laughing darkly "I mean I don´t lock myself in rooms anymore" But then she turned serious again and said "Well, since my fathers death, we have a lot of visitors most of the time." "I guess it is good for my mother and all, but I would really wish that Sam and his gang would stay away, if you know what I mean." she sighed and gave her friend a meaningfull look.
